Al's Comics: My friendly neighborhood comic book store. Al has a great selection of both mainstream and independent comics.

Craig Bostick: His one-pagers of youthful, gay angst are some of the most poetic comics I've ever seen.

David Kelly: One of the co-editors of Boy Trouble, David has a long history of making colorful and vibrant comics.

Dogspunk: The website of the tremendously talented tattoo artist and illustrator David Davenport. He's the co-creator of HARD TO SWALLOW comics.

Drub: An illustrator of the harder side of gay sex, with lots of hot skin, punk, and hard-core boys getting nasty. He's the guest contributor to HARD TO SWALLOW #3.

Flaming Artist: Brad Rader, a highly accomplished illustrator of everything from comic books to animation, turns his talents to a personal and beautiful collection of gay porn.

Fredo: One of the Bay Area's luminaries, Fredo is a cartoonist's cartoonist. His mini-comics are some of the best of the medium.

The Gay Comics List: A well-crafted queer comics website featuring comprehensive and thoughtful reviews of queer comics.

The Gay League: A queer comics website that serializes my GLAMAZONIA strips! I also wrote several reviews of other books for them. A wonderful site…

Glitterlimes: Debbie Tuch makes jewelry and objets d’art out of slices of fruit glittered and resined. A beautiful and unique vision from a beautiful and unique lady.

Hard To Swallow: The wild and wonderful gay porn comic done by me and Dave Davenport, with guest contributors each issue!

Isotope Comics Lounge: A fantastic comic book shop in S.F., featuring a wall of toilet seat covers illustrated by comics artists. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Jennifer Camper: Editor of the JUICY MOTHER anthology, Camper has been making excellent smart and funny comics for years.

Jesse Reklaw: Jesse does the marvelous SLOW WAVE comic strip, in which he illustrates different people's dreams. He is a smart and talented storyteller, as well as a gifted illustrator. He also helps run GloboHobo mini-comics distribution.

John Stevens: Strange, thoughtful, and beautiful, the work of John Stevens (under quite possibly the most disturbingly named self-publishing label ever, Bearded Baby) defies description but always stimulates. Check out this cartoonist with a conscience!

Josh Neufeld: Another Xeric winner and creator of travel-oriented comics, Josh is one of the most consistently thoughtful cartoonists around.

Lark Pien: A stalwart of the Bay Area mini-comics scene, Lark is also an accomplished painter. Her comics work combines a wonderful lyricism and craft.

Laurenn McCubbin: A true force of nature, Laurenn is intent on doing just about everything, and doing it well. Cartoonist, art director, curator, painter, and all-around sassy lady, she's perhaps best known as the illlustrator for RENT GIRL.

Load Records: An amazing record label out of Providence RI producing tasteless, out of control, and brilliant music. Very cartoonist friendly.

Leviathan Ink: The website of a talented gay cartoonist here in San Francisco.

Limachips: OJ Lima's clearinghouse of books, comics, art, and music, featuring OJ's hilarious and insightful rantings.

Nick Bertozzi: The site of one of independent comic’s best storytellers, Xeric and Ignatz winner and fellow Rhode Island escapee.

Paige Braddock: Not only an excellent cartoonist, but one of the world's sweetest people. She's my hero.

PopImage: Great website chockfull of comic book goodies, from articles to interviews. Home of the daily web strip "Young Bottoms In Love," which I've contributed to.

Prism Comics: The most important queer comics website. Includes an excellent list of queer creator bios. They also publish a comprehensive annual directory of queer comics and host a queer panel at the San Diego Comic Con.

Robert Kirby: The creator of Curbside Boys, a delightful comic strip of urban gay life, as well as the excellent Boy Trouble series. Excellent brush work and pacing, a very accomplished cartoonist.

S.F. Cartoon Art Museum: San Francisco's own cartoon art museum, which houses a permanent collection, rotating exhibits, and the Small Press Spotlight for local artists.

Sequential Tart: Woman-owned and run comic book website. One of the best-written and thoughtful comic spaces on the net. Highly recommended.

Silver Bullet Comicbooks: A great comic book fan website out of New Zealand (God bless the kiwis!), this site is comprehensive and smart. It also has a wonderful small press section.

Sonia Harris, Soyabean Design: Though an uber-talented designer, Sonia still likes to hang around with ridiculous cartoonist types. Go figure. She did the redesign of this site.

Steve MacIsaac: A fantastic artist doing very hot gay smut, along with smart social drama. He was the guest contributor for HARD TO SWALLOW #2.

Tim Fish: Tim is one of the hardest working indy cartoonists, producing prodigious amounts of material, all on top of working a normal job! His CAVALCADE OF BOYS and YOUNG BOTTOMS IN LOVE are among the best gay romance material anywhere.

Tristan Crane: Tristan is an S.F. photographer and the writer of the excellent HOW LOATHSOME comics.

Wanky Comics: Bil Sherman's website promoting his excellent, highly original, indy gay smut comix. Hankering for sci-fi degradations, superhero revelations, and big, hairy men? Check it out! He was the guest contributor for HARD TO SWALLOW #1.

The Wrong Element: Bizarre and hilarious fusions of pop and revolutionary icons on t-shirts, stickers, and postcards.

The Xeric Foundation: The fine folks who gave me a grant to self-publish my first comic. An excellent resource for the up-and-coming cartoonist.
